15 October 2026. This policy covers version 1.0.8 of the Android app.
Battery Sayar is published by Wood Developers. It reads a JBD / Xiaoxiang battery management system over Bluetooth and can, if you turn it on, repeat those readings to other phones on the same Wi-Fi. There is no account and no Battery Sayar server.
The app stores settings on the phone only: the last Bluetooth address you connected, names you give packs, language, notification choices, alert levels, auto-connect, and whether pack sharing and remote commands are allowed. Uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android settings, to delete that data.
Nothing is sent to the developer. If you turn on Share this pack, live readings (voltage, current, state of charge, temperatures, cell voltages, and charge or discharge switch state) are sent on your local Wi-Fi to phones that join that share. That traffic is not encrypted. Turn sharing off to stop it. Other phones can change charge and discharge switches or protection limits only when you turn Allow commands on. It is off by default.
Bluetooth is used to find and talk to the battery system you choose. On Android 11 and earlier the system also requires a location permission before a Bluetooth scan can run. Battery Sayar does not read your location. Nearby Wi-Fi devices, internet, and Wi-Fi state are used only so phones on the same network can find a pack you chose to share. Notifications and a connected-device foreground service keep the live reading and alerts going while you stay connected. The app does not use the advertising ID.
No ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting service, no payments, and no sale of data. The app is not directed at children.
